Snowflakes

I had a chance to use Sizzix stencils during the Intohimona Askartelu handicraft fairs. Here is one of them that I got to use, a snowflake. I think I made like dozen of them, I liked them so much!

In this cards I used the snowflakes itself aaaand the paper that was left after die-cutting. Trying to be enviromentaly-friendly and use every scrap :-)

In these two cards I used clear and milled lavender cracle-paint as well as some silver ink.

This card´s front side is cut vertically into half so the snowflake is freelly hanging on the edge. To support it a little bit and add some lightness, I used sort of organza.

Ornaments

Haven't been here for a while! I was so busy with work that I didn´t manage to do any handcrafts during November, but now I cought up a bit with the card-making process exactly 10 days before Christmas :-)

In this post I present post-cards made for my co-workers :-). I decided to make all of them in a shape of ornament. I must admit that taking pics of them was really challenging as they simply refused to stay still in an up-right position :-D Luckily I found a way to pacify them somehow with paper clips :-)

Wszystkie karteczki posiadaja elementy 3D wiec zglaszam je na wyzwanie Projektu Wagi Ciezkiej: Wyzwanie 3D Anniko :-)

Joulupallo

Here there is an answer for a challenge on Lauran korttihaaste #60 The point was to select a combination of three features, like in a bingo :-) I have selected green, red and ornament.

This year I´m planning to do lots of round-shaped cards :-D

Tässä projekti Lauran korttihaasteseen #60. Bingosta valitsin rivin johon kuuluu vihreä, joulupallo ja punainen :-)

Star

The Christmas gift preparation is progressing well and contrary to the last year, I even managed to do already pretty many cards! However, I realized that I don´t have that many home decorations, so... it was time to make some :-) I actually planned to create a Christmast crown, but I accidentally run into this webpage, where I found a tutorial for a lovely star! I just couldn´t resist!

I calculated that the total cost (paper from old notebook from Iranian friend, glue <didn´t use any hot glue and it´s holding as fine>, brad and glitter) is about 1 euro :-D

How do you like it? :-)

The work I´m sending for a PWC challenge as it suits perfectly to the challenge :-)

Rusetti

Today´s card was created for my boyfriend´s Mom who just had her birthday.

In the project I used beautiful paper designed by very well-known in card-making society Polish artist. Her nickname is Asica-Scrap (website). I´m so proud to have Polish designers spreading their work around the world! It was great to see Polish designs on Intohimona Askartelu Fairs last August in Helsinki!

This paper is called Pastel Rhapsody nr 3 "Coffee overture" (Pastelowa Rapsodia nr 3 "Kawowa uwertura")

Kortti lähetän Lauran korttihaasteeseen nr 59, jossa piti käyttää rusetin :-)

Follow your dreams...

Here´s a pocket card which I have to Frutti for her birthday a couple months ago :-) Frutti took the pictures herself as i didn´t manage to do it myself :-D Thank you Frutti!

I´m sending this work for a couple challenges in an autumn theme. Apparently this topic is really trendy recently, though I think in Finland the autumn is almost over and we can expect winter sometime soon ;-)
Challenges:
Cupcake Craftroom
Love to Create Challenge Blog
Crafts and Me
Creative Inspirations

Have to catch up with all the challenges and start doing crafts more regularly!

Inside you can find a pocket...

Exploding box

I got amazingly interesting order from a friend to create a gift for her other friend. The theme was supposed to be birthday-wedding like and with a touch of green.

I thought that there couldn´t be a better solution for that than an exploading box with a cake inside!

It´s my first export order as the work is going to travel to Russia (just in case if you wonder why the text is in Russian) :-D

The box after "explosion"

 Just before lifting the lid...

 The biggest challenge- the cake!
I had some problems with setting the brightness balance on the pictures as there´s so much of a white colour here. Any tips how to fix it?

I´ll be happy to see some comments :-)

More challenges :-)

This time not only in the crafty world! I´ve just started new job, so doing nowadays a bit different paperwork :-D Luckily found some time to myhobbies too.

Here´s a card done according to The Sketchy Challenges #31

I´m sending it also to the PWC challenge called "New me", as recently I started my new hobby called Geocaching. The aim is to find little caches hidden by the other participants with a help of GPS. Not all of the caches are easy accessible and sometimes you even have to solve a mistery. The card reflects exploring the world :-)

Karteczke wysylam rowniez na wyzwanie pt. "Nowa Ja" PWC. W jakim sensie nowa? Weekend full of crafting

I just came back with Kristin from the Intohimona Askartelu crafting fairs in Helsinki. It was just awesome! We also booked a table to craft during all two day long fairs. The tables were placed upstairs on the balcony from the main event, so we had a good view what's going on there. Eevry time we were doing some project and missing a proper paper or a ribbon we went downstairs "hunting". I felt like a child in a candy shop :-D We also discovered that there's a new shop in Tampere with crafting stuff, awesome!

We have attended many workshops and learned many new techniques. There was also big shot and fiskars products and plenty of stencils that simply I wouldn't afford buying, but I cut a lot of die-cuts, so I can used them know without buying any extra equipment :-)

Later on I'll show the projects I have started during the fairs. This is the only one I managed to finish :-D

I'm sending the project for the challenge of The Shabby Tea Room inspired by the picture. The requirement: flower and damask pattern.

andddd....Out of the frame by Sweet Stampin'

Have a great last hours of the weekend :-)

First Christmas card of year 2012!

Even though it's still August, here in Finland it's getting colder and colder. Feels like winter is just behind the corner. Well, maybe not yet, but why not to start doing Christmas card (for once) on time. Card it's an answer to Finnish blog listed below.

Kortti lähetän Lauran korttihaasteseen # 49. Onko ketään tulossa ensi viikonloppuna Helsinkiin Intohimnona Askartelu tapahtumaan? :-) Nähdään siellä :-)

Such a nice, little card :-) I'd love to start making more round-shaped cards!

Thank you for the comments :-)

Kiitos kommenteista :-)

Leporello

Have you ever before heard about leporello? Me neither :-) Luckily people are learning all the lives and here's a challenge of Scrapki.pl, asking to create a leporello. A leporello is an accordion-fold shape of, for example, paper.

I found this challenge a great opportunity to prepare a birthday present for my Mom. Her bithday is exactly today and luckily she got a gift on time :-) On the picture you can find our pictures when I was day, 10 years and 20 years old :-)

Wszystko to z okazji jej dzisiejszych urodzin. Wszystkiego najlepszego Mamusiu :-)

Ciapnelam tu i tam, zeby je postarzyc. Poza tym uzylam niemal wszedzie mojego jedynego slonecznikowego glimmer mist. Musze zainwestowac w wieksza game kolorow :)

Po rozlozeniu...
 Zwiazene kokardka...
 Od tylu...
 Okladka...

Niedaleko pada jablko od jabloni :-)

Bede wdzieczna za komentarze :)

I'll be glad if you left a comment :)

Monochrome

Hello!
Just quickly, as I'm somehow lacking the inspiration today, as it's been raining all day long :-)

Here it is, an answer for a Scrap Market challenge #18. The challenge was to create a monochrome project, that includes in majority shades of one colour and optionally few neutral accents.

So here it is:

I have used some liquid pearls, sunflower glimmer mist and olive colour inks. I also had a chance to play with my Big Shot.

The card was a last-minute order for 18 years old birthday girl. I know it's not all pink and sweet but neither was the girl :-D The sign in Finnish says "Happy birthday!"

I'll be happy to see some comments :-)
